These are the main crew members of starship Beagle as part of the Classic Space project.
Edward Burke
Edward John Burke – Captain of the Beagle, student, test pilot and space marine. Ex-corporal of the United States Marine Corps. Born on AD 2430/02/01 in Binghamton, New York to his father, John Burke, and mother Lauren Burke. Relocated from New York State to Atlanta, Georgia in September 2464. Named after from Irish statesman and philosopher Edmund Burke (1729-1797).
Marceline Germaine
Marceline Germaine – Assistant to the Beagle and boyfriend of Edward Burke. Born on AD 2072/05/21 in Flushing, Queens, New York City. Adopted by Henri and Valmore Germaine at her birth. Frozen in cryo-stasis in AD 2099 on the DSV Descartes. Thawed out of stasis in AD 2469 on the cargo bay of the Beagle during the experimental warp drive test. Named after Marceline Desbordes-Valmore (1786-1859) and Sophie Germain (1776-1831).

Conan Doyle
Dr. Conan Arthur Doyle – Scientist, Doctor, Chief medical officer, born on 15 May 2430 AD in Edinburg, Scotland. Former doctor of the starship Boston (CV-1630) and member of the cryonics program. He was named after Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the best known author of Sherlock Holmes.
Fionna Melanie
Fionna Melanie – Female commander of the Beagle, former ballet dancer and Canadian army Sargent. Former commander of the starship Boston (CV-1630) and member of the cryonics program. Born: 2433/04/15 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to her French parents Jean-Martin and Madeleine Melanie. Named from Fiona Melanie Wood (1958-), an Australian plastic surgeon.
Finn Clemens
Finn Clemens – Junior Lieutenant, technician, born on AD 2437/01/21 in Hannibal, Missouri. Former lieutenant of the starship Boston (CV-1630). Half-human, half-cyborg. Named after the fictional character Huckleberry Finn and Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens).
Sandy Dale
Sandy Dale – Lieutenant and chief security officer to the Beagle. Born on AD 2431/04/10 Ames, Iowa near Des Moines. Former lieutenant and security officer of the starship Boston (CV-1630) and member of the cryonics program. Named after actress Sandy Dennis (1937-1992).
Steven Allen
Steven Allen – Ensign and co-pilot to the Beagle. Born AD 2446/12/18 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Brother of Gardner Allen. Co-pilot of the Starfleet Voyager spacecraft (LL6929) with Elbert Rutan and James Fossett. Name after Steve Allen (1921-2000), American comedian and the first host The Tonight Show for the NBC network.
Sanford Braun
Sanford Braun – Lieutenant Commander of the Beagle. Former Air Force pilot. Born in Brooklyn, New York City on AD 2435/12/30. Former lieutenant commander of the starship Boston (CV-1630) and member of the cryonics program. Named after American baseball pitcher Sandy Koufax (1935-).

Jane Riley
Jane Riley – Nurse and doctor to the Beagle. Wife of Dr. Conan Doyle. Ex-wife of Reeve Musk. Born on 2485/09/26 in London, England. Former nurse of the starship Boston (CV-1630) and member of the cryonics program. Named after English actress Talulah Jane Riley-Milburn (1985-), the ex-wife of Elon Musk (1971-).
Zog
Zog – Alien science officer of the Beagle. Former assistant of the starship Boston (CV-1630). Named after King Zog of Albania (1895-1961).
Clockwork Joe
Clockwork Joe – Robot assistant to the Beagle. Created by lieutenant commander Joe Maggio in 2455 as part of the project Darwin. Former robot assistant of the starship Boston (CV-1630). Operated by Phineas Flecther.
Former Red Star Mercenary Group and Hostage Members
These are the groups of the characters that were part of the former members of the Russian Red Star mercenary group. These characters also include the former hostages that were held by the mercenaries.
Phineas Fletcher
Phineas Gage Fletcher – American Lieutenant of the Beagle. Technician, Engineer, born on 15 October 2432 AD in Portland, Maine. Former hostage member of the Red Star mercenary group. Named after Phineas Gage (1823-1860) and Phineas Fletcher (1582-1650).
Ophelia Caraway
Ophelia Caraway – Lieutenant Commander and pilot of the Beagle. Born on 2434/04/16 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Former hostage member of the Red Star mercenary group. Named after from Hattie Caraway (1878-1950), the first woman senator from Arkansas and the character from William Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
Gennady Strekal
Gennady Strekal – Russian Lieutenant commander and engineer of the Beagle. Born on AD 2440/10/26 in Moscow, Russia. Former member and ex-pilot of the Red Star mercenary group. Named after Russian cosmonaut Gennady Strekalov (1940-2004).
Yuri Alekseyevich
Yuri Alekseyevich – Russian Lieutenant and co-pilot of the Beagle. Born on AD 2434/03/09 in Smolensk, Russia. Russian Air Force pilot. Former member and ex-pilot of the Red Star mercenary group. Named after Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin (1934-1968), the first human who flew into in space 1961.
Ching Kuo
Ching Kuo – Lieutenant and pilot of the starship Beagle. Taiwanese airline and air force pilot. Former hostage member of the Red Star mercenary group. Born on 2432/10/31 in Keelung, Taiwan. Named after Chiang Ching-kuo (1910-1988), the son of Chiang Kai-shek (1887-1975).
Anne Bullen
Anne Bullen – Lieutenant and yeoman of the starship Beagle. Former hostage member of the Red Star mercenary group. Born on AD 2433/05/14 in Seattle, Washington State. Named after Anne Boleyn (1500s to 1536), the Second wife of King Henry VIII of England.
