Bomb Defused at the Bailey Smith Towers

BRICKSVILLE, CA September 5 2002 – The Bailey Smith towers were evacuated at 8:50 AM this morning after a bomb threat was phoned into the reception desk of the building. Six people were killed during the panicked evacuation before police arrived on the scene to calm the crowds and restore order.

After the buildings were cleared, bomb experts were sent in to search for the alleged bombs. They did find one and quickly rushed to the scene to defuse the bomb. During the search, a mysterious code word was found near the scene, the word “Amtrak”. A gun was also found that had been hidden in the wall, police do not know if either of these have items have anything to do with the bomb that was found.

The bomb was shut off safely before the detonation time and the police breathed a large sigh of relief after the episode. Richard Harris, famed Hollywood star had been in town for a vacation, but decided to head back to Hollywood after this incident.

New Soccer Stadium

BRICKSVILLE, CA September 5 2002 – In other news today, it has been announced that a new soccer stadium will be on a new street, Soccer Drive, which will cross Hile Road. The stadium and road will be built in October 2002.

The stadium will be named the Bailey Smith Stadium, as a matching tribute with the Bailey Smith Towers. Brick Transit will also be offering service to the new stadium using existing track in the area.

Brick Transit will also server the Golden Hut and Vaca areas with service to the new Soccer Stadium. Bus service will also be provided, with red buses indicating the Casino Line, blue buses for the Downtown-Bosso Line and Blue Buses also for the Vaca-Bricksville and Melands lines.
