Train Crashes into Vila Roof Inn
Reporter: Tamara Harpster
BRICKSVILLE, CA JAN 14 2002 – On January 14th, the Vila Roof Inn was destroyed. A brand new Railway Express train crashed into the building this morning. The train was just starting out of the station when it suddenly jumped it’s tracks for no reason.
It was just turning the curve around the Vila Roof Inn and ran smack dab into it the center. It appears that the structure had become very weak over the years and it completely collapsed after the train crashed into it.
The Vila Roof Inn was an important historic building in Bricksville. Richard Harris, who was an old time Bricksville movie star, stayed there often in between movies and received a lifetime achievement award, given by the governor or California. An important part of the town, the Vila Roof Inn will be missed by many.
Donations are being accepted to rebuild the Vila Roof Inn and restore it’s former grandeur. Donations can be left at the Motel 9 office.
Julia Harris Found Guilty of Sculpture Incident
Reporter: Tamara Harpster
BRICKSVILLE, CA JAN 14 2002 – Julia Harris was found guilty of not respecting a sculpture today in the Bricksville courtroom. He had been arrested at the Golden Hut up in Bosso for pushing over the Golden Hut Tiki Statue that had been in the Tiki room for many years.
While many people agreed with his action, it was definitely not called for and besides, when he pushed the statue over, it pulled over the fish tank as well. S. A. Such, a witness to the act, said “Yeah, it was ugly as sin, but he didn’t have to knock over the fish too, they’ve got rights, ya know.”
Julia Harris is a descendant of Richard Harris, former Movie Star that lived in Bricksville.
