Classic Space

Voyages of Edward Burke – A Sequel to Space Quest

Based on the actual Lego sets originally produced by the Lego Group from 1978 to 1987

About the Project

Classic Space is a project that is set after the events of Space Quest in the early 25th Century. The story is named from the Lego space themed sets that existed from 1978 to 1987. Classic Space will be retitled Star Quest as a sequel to Space Quest.

Plot

Classic Space revolves around Edward Burke, a former space marine and son of John Burke who becomes captain of the starship Beagle (CV-1826), a Pegasus class (L-78) around the mid to late 25th century with his assistant Leroy Moreau and commander Mark Bluford as part of the Classic Space division in the year 2469.

Unrealized to Burke, a girl named Marceline Germaine had woken up from her sleep in her cryonic stasis with amnesia almost 400 years later following the experimental warp drive accident. Marceline would become a female assistant to the Beagle after she was bought by Ed Burke from Dr. Conan Doyle during her stasis following the salvage operation of the deep space vessel Descartes by the starship De Gulle.

This was following the events of Space Quest in the 2420s when the exoplanets were explored and colonized by humans. John Burke remained captain of the starship Challenger which he would become admiral forty years later after his assistant Dexter Colin and Fredrick Tubman were separated from the Spacefleet division. Dexter would later become captain of the starship Discovery in the events in the early 2440s before Classic Space.

This was followed that I’ve built the L-78 spaceship with LDraw with its Classic Space theme. The basis of the story of Classic Space is based on the same story from Space Quest.

The idea of this story project would have been based on the original Lego theme as they would have done a television series, a film, and a story based on the sets. The idea was that what if Lego would have
