Weener Arrested by Police for Kidnapping of Timmy
Reporter: Tamara Harpster
BRICKSVILLE, CA APRIL 9 2002 – Mel Weener was arrested today for the kidnap of Timmy, which was reported on yesterday. Officers were able to find and arrest Mel Weener after talking to his friend Han. Han was very upset when he heard about what Mel had done and said he was willing to help in any way he could. Our report captured a picture of Han at his local work place Golden Hut.
Han was quoted as saying, “I saw Mel’s car heading toward his house, like nothing was wrong, it was really a surprise to me to find out what he had done. I saw his license tag which read LOD, I think from that game he plays all of the time, Diablo II© Expansion Pack. Don’t know what it means, though.”
This reporter found out that it stands for Lord of Destruction, certainly fitting considering who Mel has been associating with and what he has been doing. Han also said, “I called the police when I had noticed that the tag had changed, it used to be just a regular license plate, but he had it changed recently.”
Mel Weener was taken to prison in the prison van, shown here going down the road to East Bricksville State Prison, where he will be held until his trial is held.
